Libertine: The Presidential Dossier, Volume One

CHAPTER ONE

You Missed It

— ✦ —

“I want you to feel this in your soul.” The echo of a riding crop on skin was in sync with the curtains flapping and cracking as the Florida breeze swept over them. “Take it... Tonight you are going to take it all,” a voice barely a whisper, yet forceful and in control, “Take it.”

Love. It’s a word everyone knows. People call it love because it sounds pretty. But strip away the flowers, the promises, and you’ll discover the glue that holds a relationship together. This relationship was held together by control and power. Not love. The thrill of knowing the naked body before you was in your control. That is power.

This was new for them. The lovers were trying to hide in the shadows. This night was a night full of secrets. Moonlight, peeking into the bedroom without a bed, betrayed their secrets: “Take it.” There was another gasp. She gazed at the long, oval mirror and was mesmerized. “Yes, lover, I want you.” There was no penetration, yet they were experiencing a moment of connection. Gasp. She was so delighted with their reflection. She wondered if they should be hanging in a museum. She knew she was over-romanticizing the moment. She was enjoying her lover, Ronnie. But Ronald Mundt, the son of her wealthy boss, current lover, and future political rival, wasn’t Cooper Hicks. When she was naked with Cooper, she would feel connected, safe, and completely engaged. But her previous lover was away for months at Officer Training School in San Diego. So she tried to fill the space with Ronnie.

It was different with Ronnie. She was more detached. She would spend more time trying to convince herself she was happy than actually being happy. She knew if she stopped comparing Ronnie to Cooper, she could feel more attached to the moment.

Beautiful, she was trying to convince herself. Lovely, as whispers grew louder, “You are going to take it!” They enjoyed the sensation of black leather gloves squeezing naked hips while their bodies moved closer. Her breasts swayed and bounced. She grew excited watching her reflection in the mirror. The squeezing of hips faded away, and the sound of leather gloves slapping a naked behind thundered in the sparsely furnished room. The riding crop wasn’t in reach, but there was another loud leather on naked skin SMACK. She was enjoying the sensation more than anticipated. It felt good; I need more, she thought. She could feel the moisture it created between her legs. “Yes, baby... that’s it. Give yourself to me. Surrender. Surrender to me, lover. You look so beautiful. Tonight is all about you. We will go where you have never been before. I promise I will go slow; there is no need for us to rush. It is just us. Nothing else. At this moment, nothing else exists in the universe... other than the two of us.”

Miriam liked Ronnie but didn’t love him. For now, he was convenient. One of her favorite sayings was “Any port in a storm.” For now, Ronald Mundt was the safest harbor for her as she attempted to satisfy her ever-expanding kinky desires. Ronald was not as handsome as Cooper. He was only a little north of attractive. With age, he would decay in a most unpleasant fashion, physically and mentally. Ronald had a full head of jet black hair that wouldn’t survive the next decade.

Miriam’s insecurities kept her on the fringes of the dating world. Smart was more attractive to her than looks. Ronald Mundt possessed a remarkable ability to convince people he was brighter than he was. He could work and charm a roomful of people. He wasn’t exactly booksmart. The level of his intelligence was somewhere around simpleton. Although he spent most of his time in Florida, he didn’t have a tan. But he always looked tan. One evening, the bar’s light made his skin look almost blue; Miriam wondered, “Is he wearing a little makeup?”

She was enjoying the feeling of their naked skin and how it connected them. Her mind wandered; we paid a lot for special lube to help things relax ’back there.’ Gosh, I hope it works. I don’t want it to hurt. A warm gust of tropical wind pushed into the room, returning her mind to the present. She was ready. She didn’t feel she wanted it; she knew she needed it. Ronnie watched her in the mirror, recognizing she was ready. Then, a whisper, “Do you want it?”

“Huh-huh. Yeah. Give it to me.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, do it. I’m ready.”

“Okay, relax, lover. I’m going to put it in. Take a deep breath.” The wrist restraints’ metallic rattle and the heavy exhale told her hips to creep forward. “Now... Take it, baby... Yes, that’s it. I want to be inside you. I want to fill you up. Take it.” Then, a more powerful push, and the lovers’ naked bodies collided with a loud, audible slap. “Yes! Yes! That’s it, take it! Yes! Take all of me!” The future presidential candidate, Miriam Stone, was experiencing unimaginable power, control, and ecstasy as she screamed, “Yes! Yes!” As she continued to thrust forward, she noticed Ronnie wasn’t reacting at all. She had been imagining his back arching, his full head of Elvis black hair moving back and forth. But... nothing.

“Ummmm… you missed it,” said Ronnie.

“What? I missed it?”

“You did.”

“I missed it?”

“Yes! You missed it. Try a little lower next time.”

“Sorry.”

“Maybe more lube too.”

“Okay, sorry.”

The sexual tension in the room instantly deflated. It was like a mic drop. Thud. Was it over for the night? Only a few seconds ago, they felt the unbearable sexual electricity flowing between them. She tried to penetrate her lover for the first time with a strap-on dildo. But missed. As the clouds had chewed at the moon, they could feel each other softly chuckling in near darkness.

The miss was funny. Gosh, Cooper would have cracked up if I missed. The miss was likely because she hadn’t had much practice since Cooper left. In the mirror, smiles were painted on their faces for the moment. The lovers were feeling silly. The young Ronald Mundt still possessed the ability to recognize humor in the world, a quality that would vanish a month later at Ronald’s birthday party. Before that night, Ronnie was kind and generous. The roast broke Mundt. It was a Jekyll and Hyde moment, forever changing him. He was determined to finally be respected. Not just in Jacksonville. No one imagined that his fame and wealth would eventually fuel his bid to be the president of the United States. It was more unimaginable that his kinky lover, Miriam Stone, would be his opponent.
